Hello;
We are having a problem with one of our AlphaServer 4000 5/300's; It is
running Digital Unix 3.2G (Rev. 62), and contains 1024megs of memory.
Occasionally, when we try to use 'trace' to examine a running program,
trace displays stack info for about .5seconds, and then the machine
panics; The binary errorlog contains this:
EVENT CLASS ERROR EVENT
OS EVENT TYPE 302. PANIC
SEQUENCE NUMBER 8.
OPERATING SYSTEM DEC OSF/1
OCCURRED/LOGGED ON Fri Aug 27 13:37:53 1999
OCCURRED ON SYSTEM alpha1
SYSTEM ID x00050016
SYSTYPE x00000000
PROCESSOR COUNT 2.
PROCESSOR WHO LOGGED x00000000
MESSAGE panic (cpu 0): simple_lock: time
limit _exceeded
Has anyone else seen this, or have any idea what could be causing this?
Any help is apprecaited..
TIA
Erik
