SUMMARY: Problems compiling the kernel

Hi managers,

 My problem was that I had problems trying to compile the kernel because
I have deleted from my system all ATM packages, including the ATM kernel
build environment. I installed them and the kernel compiled ok. Now I
don't know why the hell the system need the ATM kernel build environment
if I was compiling a kernel without ATM option, I, even, edited the
kernel configuration file and commented all lines related with ATM however
the kernel still needed them.
