sendmail 4.0f patchkit1 error - o.k. on 4.0d patchkit3

Sending a simple mail to root on a new DS20 with 4.0f pk1
gives this error in /var/adm/syslog.dated mail.log:

"sendmail[20470]: My unqualified host name (vista5) unknown; sleepi
ng for retry"

This does not happen on the 4.0d pk3 boxes.....

Any ideas ?
