[Q] EPSON EPL-N1600

Dear Gurus,

Sorry, this is not directly related to Alpha/TU64, but since I have a
2100 server...

My problem: I've just installed an EPSON EPL-N1600 printer with a
Postscript card.
ASCII texts print fine (provided you add \r before \n...) but Postscript
files don't print. A yellow bulb flashes endlessly, but no output.

I know that, in principle, most of the Postcript printers expect a ^D
at the end of the file. But this does not change anything.

I wonder whether the printer does not expect the file to BEGIN with some
esoteric characters, so that it is directed to the Postscript card?
If this is so, what could be this sequence?
The Epson hot line is totally useless. They only know Windoze but can't
even say what the driver does.

Thanks for your help!

Jean-Loup
