Dear All,
I got a strange problem:

I am having Digital Alpha 1200 Server with Digital Unix v 4.0D.

Problem: when I am trying to print the file like "/etc/hosts" or any text
file, it is printing continuously with the same file.
But I have so many laser printers configured on the same Server, those
printers working fine except this one.
The silly thing is this printer is printing fine from normal Windows -NT
clients.I mean it is printing no. of copies one only.

The Printer model is "Laserjet HP 8000N(Network Printer)"

I am using the following command:

lp -dprintername filename
ex:- lp -disitdev /etc/hosts.

2.For this I have configured this printer on another Server with same
Digital Alpha but I am getting same problem.
3. I have deleted the present printer configuration and created the with new
alias name, still the problem existing.

Exactly I want to ask u is the problem with Printer or Config. in Unix OS
side , any thing else........

Pl. respond ASAP.
Regards
Nagesh
