selecting twisted pair

Hi All,

I just tried switching an alphastation 500 & 600 over to twisted pair from thin
wire. The network cards in the machines support both. I brought the machines
down, did the switch, and brought them up but the twisted pair connection wasn't
recognized. When the machines come up they indicate that tu0 is still switched
to BNC. I haven't been able to find anything in the docs about selcting or
configuring the connection type (BNC or 10BASET/twisted pair). I did find a
note in the User Information Guide vaguely suggesting that the system will sense
the connection. The lack of info also seems to suggest this, as does the fact
that other systems (e.g. SUN) automatically sense the connection. Does anyone
have any ideas?

Thanks,

Scott Taylor
