SUMMARY: Limit on size of logical drives on SWXCR

information.


Apparently, the 32k MB limit on logical drives created with standalone utility
for the SWXCR is a real limitation, with most claiming that it is due to 32
bit nature of the software.`

Most people also suggested simply creating multiple logical drives and then
merging them together with LSM or AdvFS. As these drives wil be used with
AFS, they have to be UFS and LSM would probably cause problems (I'm not even
going to try), but then again AFS features makes lacking a single partition
more of an annoyance rather than a problem (I wanted to put all disk space
associated with this group of users on a single partition so that when do a
fs lq they see how much of their total space is used, rather than how much
of their total space on one partition is used).
