Hi managers
I am posting again with a change of status..I read a
doc in web. This looks like my situation.
***********************************************
1.Prepare the system for installation. This includes
replacing any failed disks or other hardware, and
detaching any disks not
involved in the reinstallation.
2.Save the current copy of /etc/vol/volboot.
3.Install the operating system.
4.Recover the LSM configuration. Restore the saved
copy of /etc/vol/volboot. (volrecover -sb)
5.Cleanup the configuration.
(a)cleaning up rootability config -(include
root,usr,var LSM volumes)
(b)cleaning up volume config
(c)cleaning up disconfig
The url is
http://www.unix.digital.com/faqs/publications/base_doc/DOCUMENTATION/V40D_HTML/AQ3NCETE/TITLE.HTM
This includes restoring any information in volumes
affected by the failure or reinstallation.
Any experience sharing? Thanks in Advance
