Dear members,

the resolution posted by Gunther Feuereisen (gunther_at_ibm.net)
was pointing to a recent post on this list by somone experiencing
the same problem on 4.0Dpkit#4. I have to admit that it never
reached my mailbox, though I get mails every day. So, sorry for
bothering you with stuff already covered. Maybe I should have check
with the archives first. Anyway, this problem is present AND in
patchkit #2 for 4.0e of DU.

The concensus is that Digital was trying to fix some things with
this patch, and caused at least (as far as I'm aware of) this one
with the clonefset.

The original post regarding this issue on 4.0Dpkit#4 follows:

>Hi Managers,

>If you running 4.0D, and has AdvFS as filesystem and uses AdvFS clonefset
to
>clone the fileset for backup or for other purposes, then you may want to
>stay away from Path Kit 4.

>My solution was to put back Patch Kit 3 and the combination with firmware
>5.4 is the best I could come up with.

>As far as I know, this problem has not been escalated to engineering,

Thank you very much.

PS. So far, no response from CompaQ support...
