Inserted today as well

-without getting the new disks available with the new kernels!

Your kernel needs to include an entry for
isp1 at pci0 slot 13
isp1: QLOGIC ISP1040B/V2
isp1: Firmware revision 5.57 (loaded by console)
isp1: Fast RAM timing enabled.
scsi3 at isp1 slot 0
So you should add:
bus isp1 at pci0 slot 13 vector ispintr
controller scsi3 at isp1 slot 0
to your kernel.
So I did and the disks are available with the new kernel.
Dr. Tom explain:
When I look at your config file, you don't have ANY support for your
second ISP controller. There is no "scsi3" in the file. That is
the root cause of the problem. Did you add a second SCSI controller
to the system along with the disks? If so, you need to follow the
rules:
boot genvmunix
doconfig (without a -c or anything like that)
edit the file as needed to modify parameters
copy the new kernel to root
reboot with the new kernel
I thought doconfig (makin a new config file) was smarter than me and would
add the two lines supplied by Sean.
Doconfig didn't. I was not quit sure on the syntax or the vector nor
the device numbers!
Thanks!
