Hi, from the answers I received I guess I didn't describe the problem clear
enough.
The problem is not the backup-schedule but the network traffic.
Our backup is written to one DLT7000 and is most of the time finished before 2
AM. The only problem occurs when a tape gets full and the backup has to wait for
a new tape. This new tape is then mounted during the early normal office hours.

Anyway, thanks to all who responded I am quit sure that it's not easy to limit
the network traffic in a well controlled way.
