Hi all !
My sincere thanks go to
Dr. Thomas P. Blinn (UNIX Software Group, Compaq Computer Corporation)
Tom Reu (Tru64 UNIX Installation), and
alan_at_nabeth.cxo.dec.com
who all sent me answers. I had asked (excerpt):

and all three of them agree that the disk type for the installation
is not critical (so RZ25 are allowed) but the total space is, so
a single RZ25 will not be sufficient for Tru64 4.0F
Quote from Tom Reu's answer:

To me this signals I need /, /var, and some base swap on one RZ25
and /usr on another, being cautious which subsets I really install.
Thanks to all three of them (and any others whose answer might
cross this summary)!
