One and All,
Our system config is: Compaq Tru64 v4.0D with Oracle 7.3.4 and Apps 10.7.
The situation arises where a Production program (Oracle) errs out and one of
the developers need to be able to review the bad record and error logs that
are located in various output directories. These production files are not
available on our developement or certification servers. What I need is a
way for the develoers to read-only those logs without giving them access to
the rest of the system. They are asking for an account on the production
server to read these files in order to troubleshoot production problems.
One possible solution is "sudo". Are there any others?
TIA and I will post a SUMMARY of the responses...
