sendmail files are locked.

Hi all,

    I have a problem trying to rebuild my sendmail hash files. When I run
newalaises I get:

                        oracle:/var/adm/sendmail#newaliases
                        Alias file /etc/mail/aliases.misc is locked (maybe
being rebuilt)
                        Alias file /etc/mail/aliases is locked (maybe being
rebuilt)
                        Alias file /etc/mail/aliases.staff is locked (maybe
being rebuilt)


How do I find the applications locking the files and remove the locks
without rebooting my system?
