SUMMARY:idle processes

Hello again,
I have received a few responses and more info to share regarding the
idle terminal question I posed a few days ago.

First, I am running Unix 4.0D and am using ksh. I found no mention of
autologout
in any documentation (only a little with tsh).

Second, I could not get access to the /pub directory to download idled
from the
ftp.cs.hope.edu site (must be my firewall). It took me a while but I
found it. It's called
idled-16.16.tar.gz If you need it do a search on the file name and
you'll get a lot of hits
(I was so happy I found forgot where I got it from)

Also Randy Styka mentioned his company (computron) produces software
called logmon.
It looks at cpu usage for each process/user and not just keyboard/tty
usage. However, I
think maybe logmon will be more adequate.

I have not gotten to install or use idled yet so I don't know if it'll
help me. I don't want to test it
while being live in case of a crash. I will try both idled and logmon.
http://www.computron.com/
and I'll try to post my results.

Thanks
