I had asked whether or not PK2 for V4.0d has all Y2k fixes installed. The
short answer is no. Patch kit 3 is required.
There are two issues from the initial relase of V4.0d which require fixing.
The first was a problem with /usr/bin/at not recognizing the leap day
occuring in the year 2000. Jobs scheduled for February 9, 2000 would run
on March 1, 2000 instead. This problem is fixed with PK2
The second problemsis with the strftime() standard c function displaying
incorrect values for %y only when width and or precision modifiers were
specified. This problem is fixed in PK3. Interstingly enough, the width
and precision modifies are Compaq only extensions and not part of the standard.
For those interested in what patches from the latest patch kit (PK5) fix
these two problems:
Patch 684.00 (at) and Patch 743.00 (strftime).
Thanks and regards,
Bruce
