Hello,

We have just started to play with mathematica4 on our GS140 running
Tru64-V4.0E.
We discovered very quickly that it is impossible to display a plot
function on a separate window of an X-terminal.

For example :
math
Copyright 1988-1999 Wolfram Research, Inc.
 -- Motif graphics initialized --
In[1]:= Plot[Sin[x],{x,0,2Pi}]

The window never pops up and we are hung with 2 processes MathKernel
and motifps. Motifps has to ke kill from externally.

Wolfram tells us that that was a known problem and that there is no fix
for that. They advices us to export the graphic and visualize it in a
separated window using ghostview.

I am wandering how other sites cope with the problem. Any tip
is welcome.
Thanks in advance
Marie-Francoise
