Alphsserver 2000 & 4.0D installation problem

Hi,

I am having a problem installing True64 Unix 4.0d on an Alphaserver 2000.
The symptom is when it starts the xserver, the screen goes blank with a
corrupt cursor. The video card is a Compaq qvision 1024.

Any solution would be very much appreciated.
