Hello all,
System: Dec 3000 - M900
OS: Tru64 ver. 4.0e (Patchkit #2) + C2 Security
I've got a quick question about using usermod.
I try to issue the command:
/usr/sbin/usermod -l newname oldname
and get the reply:
The password and group files are currently locked by another user.
Please try again later.
I did a search of the archives and someone mentioned having this same
problem. The summary only stated that it had something to do with the
creation of the directory "/etc/ptmp". I checked to see if I had this
directory... It didn't exist... I tried creating it and still had
the same results using "usermod"...
Anyone know how to fix this?
