SUMMARY: File transfer problem

List,

My original question was:

On a daily basis, a set of sybase files are copied from one server to
another using the sybase bcp utility. There's a list of around 20 files and
all work fine except one for which we get the following error message:
Operating-system error:
        Connection reset by peer
DB-LIBRARY error:
        Read from SQL Server failed.
If this problem file is copied to another server, then a bcp executed to the
same destination there's no problem. All the files have the same
permissions, contain similiar data and aren't excessively large.
Anyone got any idea what's happening or any suggestions on further
investigations?

Only got a couple of responses (probably due to my question being rather
vague), one suggesting a space problem, the other saying he had a similiar
problem. It didn't turn out to be a space problem but thanks anyway. I hope
this summary is of use to my other respondent.....

Eventually circumvented the problem by specifying a packet size of 1024 on
the bcp command. Not sure why this particular file required this. We also
still have some connection "funnies" between the 2 servers so I've asked the
network team to do some analysis.
