Hello,

I have two alpha 4100 systems, the only difference between the two is the graphics card.
I have made a vdump of the first one en restored on the second one. The restored version won't
start the graphics console. The X11 errorlog sais :

xdm error (pid 1714): error 48 binding socket address 177
Workstation device failure.
Cannot find loadable library to handle device GENERIC .
Could not AddScreen, ID = GENERIC

Fatal server error:
no screens found
xdm error (pid 1714): Server for display :0 terminated unexpectedly: 1
Workstation device failure.
Cannot find loadable library to handle device GENERIC .
Could not AddScreen, ID = GENERIC
.....

message during boot :

Original server :

tga0 at pci0 slot 2
tga0 : depth 8 : map size 2MB, 1024 X 768

Vdumped copy :

trio0 at pci0 slot2
trio0 :S3 Trio64V+ (SVGA) Plug-N-Play,_1.0 MB

A message during startup sais : graphics console not configured ...

How to install ???

Thanks in advance for your help,
Will summarize,
