Question: Suppose I jumpered an AlphaPC 164 board to 128bit memory bus width,
but filled all 8 sockets with SIMMs (though only 4 will be used).
Will the extra SIMMs confuse the board, or will they just be ignored?

Answer: This is not a problem as the other 4 simm slots will be ignored.

Thanks to Tom Blinn and to "the guy who did the motherboard design".
