SUMMARY: Console variable for init when "boot" is typed

Thank you to Oisin McGinness, Udo De Boer, Martin Barrett, & Kevin Jones for
helping me out with this one. The variable is boot_reset.
boot_reset = ON (causes the init)
boot_reset = OFF (doesn't cause the init)

Thanks,

John

Subject: Console variable for init when "boot" is typed

We've got a few servers that will do an init if you type boot at the console
prompt, and others that don't (AS4000 does, AS4100 doesn't, 1 AS8400 does, 1
AS8400 doesn't). Since we are seeing this on one 8400 but not the other, it
seems likely that there is a SRM variable set that is causing this. I'd try
to RTMF, but I can't find a manual on our shelf that explains SRM variables.
Could someone let me know which variable it is for the init and what values
will enable/disable it when I try to boot?

Thanks,

John
