hi,
i've recently moved our main nfs fileserver from a dec unix
box, to a sun solaris one. however, i still have a few dec
unix boxes which mount filesystems and i'm now seeing a weird
error crop up, only for one specific user.
# su - clientuser
NFS3 RFS3_LOOKUP failed for server nfsserver: RPC: Authentication error
No directory
and
NFS3 RFS3_ACCESS failed for server nfsserver: RPC: Authentication error
NFS3 RFS3_GETATTR failed for server nfsserver: RPC: Authentication error
No directory
if i do this on a sun, i don't have a problem.
if i do this on a dec unix box i get the above error.
since the mailhost is a dec unix box, this leads to problems stating
the user's .forward which means her mail isn't delivered..
the dec unix box is 4.0b, the sun is solaris 7.
the nfs server and client are both yp slaves. the uid matches on
both ends. i've rebooted both server and client. i haven't seen
this problem for any other user. i can cd into the directory as
root and access files (across nfs), but i can't as that user.
sigh - any ideas ?
