SUMMARY: portsentry and logcheck

Hi. OK things are working now. Several people wrote in to
say that they were using at least one of these apps.

The latest version of logcheck includes some DU flags in
the conf file which need to be uncommented and then it
works.

For portsentry two things needed to be done: first, there is
a line in the Makefile that needs to be altered:

CFLAGS = -0 -WALL
needs to be
CFLAGS = -0

Then, you need to run the make as "make osf" which adds
a -ldb flag to the install. This last step prevents errors involving
vnfprintf().

So, now I'm up and running. Many thanks to those who replied,
especially Mark M. Van Overbeke who installed and tested it
on his system also.

NOTE: I also had a recommendation for the BigBrother monitoring
package, available at http://bb4.com.

Thanks again everyone!

david.
