how to reboot: reboot vs init 0

Hello,

what is the "best" way to reboot my 4.0d system remotely (via telnet)? I
have been using the "reboot" command, but the previous sys admin told me
that "init 0" was the way to do it. well, the problem with "init 0" is that
it reboots the machine to the firmware level and I have to issue a "boot"
command at the console to make the machine finish booting. The previous
sysadmin doesn't think the "reboot" command shuts the machine down cleanly.

thanks for any info,
Eddie
