Hi Tru64 managers!

Thanks to

Niels Roetert
Thomas Leitner
Emil Dragic
Udo de Boer
Joe Fletcher

For their responses and help.

Original Question:

A colleague is running DU 4.0 on a DEC Multia. When the battery began
acting up, Compaq service replaced it. Now his workstation will boot on
only in single user mode despite the facts that all the initd scripts are
set up for full multi-user mode and CDE to start at boot time.

Consensus Answer:

At the SRM console prompt enter the commands:

>>> set boot_osflags "A"
>>> boot

Thanks!

I will forward the information to my colleague and let everyone know if it
works!

Regards,

Jim
