mkpasswd -HELP!

i just did a vipw to change a users shell.
when i exited the session i got these messages:

11826:/usr/sbin/mkpasswd: /sbin/loader: Error: unresolvable symbol in
/usr/sbin/mkpasswd: dbm_setpblksiz
11826:/usr/sbin/mkpasswd: /sbin/loader: Fatal Error: this executable has
unresolvable symbols
vipw: mkpasswd failed

am i hosed? how can i fix it?

running 4.0D w/ pk5 -no C2
