Network Audio System (NAS) and forwarding sound

Hi !

I have compiled NAS and run successfully the demo program on my NCD Xterminals.

I am the UNIX manager in a Lab. We have 200 NCD Xterminals and want to
use them to watch video-conferences. We use realplayer, vic/vat. This
tools send sound to '/dev/audio', and can't be use on an Xterminal.

I have read the NAS mailing-list archive but found no answer to my questions.

These questions are:

1) how can I redirect sound from /dev/audio to a NAS program ? This NAS
program will have to send the sound to the NCD-NAS server. I have
tried to replace /dev/audio with a 'named pipe' but in this case,
realplayer and audiotool refuse to work.

2) is there some NAS tools compatibles with reaplayer or vic/vat ?

3) does someone have experience to share about videoconference on NCD Xterminals.

Many thanks in advance.
