The general consensus seems to be either
1. A lose connection in the machine itself, as a result of travelling
2. A disk error
3. A problem with the disk spindle, either stuck or broken
Thanks to everyone
The original question
----------------------------
Hi,
We have an Alpha Workstation 255 that has been working with no problems.
This machine was then moved to another site. Only the IP address and gateway
were changed. Now the workstation won't boot.
When it is switched on, it gets to the shevrons. After b is typed, an error
is returned. This is what happens
>>> b
>>> dka0.0.0.6.0 -flag A
failed to open dka0.0.0.6.0
Please help with that as I have no idea where to start
Thanks
Kevin Moore
