lpd timeout then printjob restarted

Dear managers,

My users try to print large files. Often the printers run out of paper and
then lpd reprints the job.

The log shows the following entries.

lpd[19229]: WARNING -- write_chars: only 0 bytes of 8192 requested were
written before timeout of 300 seconds
lpd[19229]: INFO -- sendfile: write failed -- return REPRINT

As we do not need any filters the printcap entry is very simple.

lpog|HP LaserJet 5MP Office Meyer:\
        :rm=testpri_kum:\
        :rp=text:\
        :sd=/usr/spool/lpd/lpog:

What can I do, to prevent lpd from reprinting?

Thanks for your help!

Thomas
