How to undelete files...

Hi Everybody.

 I did the usual, but horrible mistake of removing files I didn't
mean to; I wrongly typed:
rm -f *.f

So, the question is: is there any way of recovering them?
The machine is an ALPHA Station 255, OSF Version 4.0E.
All files removed were located in the same directory.

Any one could help me???? I'm desperate!!!!
