C/C++ compiler optimization switches for ev6 w/ 4.0E

We asked this question of the list some time ago, but unfortunetly I can't
find it in our mail or archives. What compiler switch should we use to run c
code as fast as possible on a DS20 with 2 EV6/500s? The code is mixed K&R
and ansi.
