JVM keeps crashing / hanging

Hi,

My systems is running Tru64 5.0 with JDK 1.2.2-3 installed [java version
"1.2.2-3" Classic VM (build J2SDK.v.1.2.2:12/28/1999-19:00, native threads,
jit_122].
I'm using java for running Allaire JRUN / Apache JServ, the problem is that
the JVM is very instable, after some hours it either hangs with a
segmentation violation like the following:

----
SIGSEGV 11* segmentation violation
    si_signo [11]: SIGSEGV 11* segmentation violation
----
or terminates:
----
Assertion failed: err == 0, file
../../../../../src/solaris/hpi/native_threads/src/threads_md.c, line 331
SIGABRT 6* abort (generated by abort(3) routine)
    si_signo [6]: SIGABRT 6* abort (generated by abort(3) routine)
    si_errno [0]: (null)
    si_code [1]: unknown siginfo
    stackpointer=200073b55e8
----
What could the problem be, is this version actually that instable? Has
anyone experienced similar behavior?
It cannot be traced back to a certain class, either running JServ or JRUN
produces the same results. Moreover there's no certain user class (servlet)
causing this according to the logs.
I hope anybody has some advice for me, I really don't know what do about it.
Thanks in advance!
cheers,
