I am trying to run ProFTPd 1.2.0pre10 on Digital UNIX 4.0F. Using the
default installation with the basic configuration file, it won't
authenticate the user. It gives an error saying 'User not found'. Using
the same setup on Linux works OK. If I put an AuthUserFile directive in
the config, it works Ok for that specific passwd file, but this won't
allow me to use /etc/svc.conf.
An older version of ProFTPd (although vulnerable) works OK also, I suspect
something has changed in the later releases that is stopping it working
properly on Digital UNIX.
If anyone has it running on 4.0F, please let me know how you got it
running.
