Hi,
This question is really a punt. I know there must be other sites out there
that run the application arc/info on TU. Anyway, I'm having trouble getting
the license manager running on a machine with Digital UNIX V4.0F (Rev.
1229) straight (no patches). The license manager "lmgrd" daemon starts up
but the "ESRI" daemon, which works in tandom with lmgrd, fails to start.
Here's its message -

Currenty Esri, the suppliers of the arc/info software, are researching what
patches may need to be applied to get this thing to work. According to the
install doco, the thing was tested on DU V4.0D. I'm sort of loath to go back
to a previous version of the operating system. If someone has got this thing
running on other than DU V4.0D, especially V4.0F or V5.0, I'd be interested
to find out if there was any magic involved. Things like a magic patch
perhaps.
The call has been with ESRI now for nearly a week with no solution in sight.
So I thought I'd turn the question over to the learned forum.
