We have a need to purchase a UPS for an AS2000 server. The UPS
should be able to communicate with the AS2000 and provide

   1) Clean power, i.e., instead of sending the AC current
directly from the AC outlet, the UPS must pass it
through its batteries and supply the server with power
        from the batteries continuously, and
   2) Enough information so that the server can do an orderly
shutdown in case of a power failure.

A vendor has supplied a quote for an APC SU2200NET, but I
remember reading in this list that APC does not support Tru64.
Sure enough, their site (www.apcc.com) describes the SU2200NET
which does not list Tru64 as a supported platform.

So the question is, what do you use for a UPS for Alphas that
   run Tru64?

   I will summarise. Thanks.
