Thanks for all the responses, there were far to many to list them all
here so I'll simply summarize. The original question was: Does anyone
know of any limitations in DU4.0d for adding a 19 Gb hard disk to a
Alpha 2100A?

Answers:
Basically everyone on the list said to go for it. Noone mentioned that
they were using one on a 2100A but lots said they were using 19 and even
36Gb hard disks.

Compaq's response: I called Compaq and asked the same question. The
field engineer there said that it depended upon the controller that was
on this machine. He looked in the specs and said that the 2100A had
never been field tested using a 19Gb hard disk and since the machine was
no longer being produced that it would not ever be tested either. He
said that the 19Gb disk would probably work without any problems but
since it hadnt been tested, Compaq would not support it. So basically
if I installed it I am on my own with it.

I decided to go with the 9 Gb disk instead so if there are problems
someone could help answer questions.

thanks for all the responses!!
