"standard support" vs. "prior version support"

Does anyone know what the difference between "standard support" and
"prior version support" are on the

http://www.unix.digital.com/supported_versions.html

web page? We're looking at what systems on campus need to be upgraded,
and while there is some information on "prior version support", the
info on "standard support" doesn't specify much in the way of what
it is, or how long.

We have a fair number of systems running 4.0E, and we need to know what
kind of support we can expect after the end of May.
