Using VMS editor keypad from DU telnet session

Using a standard xterm (TERM=vt100) I'm telnetting from an AS4100 running DU
4.0D to an Open VMS 7.2 server. How do I get the keypad to work properly while
in the VMS editors tpu or edt? I used the VMS set term command to enable the
application keypad with no luck. Also, how can I emulate the VMS "Do" key? I'm
using the standard 101-key PC style keyboard. I think it has to do with xterm
options or termcap/terminfo settings but I haven't found how to do this.

Thanks for your help
