Hi all.
We have a 4.100 server with 4 procs and 2 gb mem to run an Open Ingres
aplication, but in order to increase speed we are trying to migrate to an
es-40 with 4 procs and 2 gb mem Ingres II server.

But when we make our own benchmark's the resultīs are:
                                         es-40 4.100
1) Simple cp on diferents filesystems 35 Secs. 1.25
Secs.
2) Copying a plane file to a DB 5.18 Min. 5.45
Min.
3) Creating DB 9 Secs. 11 Secs.
4) Creating a table with Copy from. 1.52 Min. 2.11
Min.
5) Update table. 1.38 Secs. 3.39
Secs.
6) Creating table with "Create as select" with logging job 31 Secs.
10 Secs.
7) Inserting into A table with "Insert into Select" 27 Secs.
40 Secs.
8) Creating table with "Copy From" 2.08 Min. 2.12 Min.
9) Update Table 1.37 Min. 2.34 Min.

Some how the es-40 is not as fast as it has to be.
The sysconfigtab's are the same, the ingres configurations are almost
similar, the raids are similar (raid 5).

It sound's like Ingres II does'nt take all the resources of the es-40.

Questions:
Have any of you involved on the same problem?
Have you any idea of the way that we could increase results of the es-40?

Thanks in advance.
