Just another question/answer combo. Anyone else run into
this yet?
With tru64 5, when you run the network setup (wizard?) it
now is more friendly. You are asked for your IP address of
course, but it seems to do some checking for you. The following
is invalid:
192.168.0.10
It claims the third octet must be 1-254 inclusive... Of course, I
changed it to 1 to get past the error, then just edited the proper
files afterwards to correct it back to 0. Am I missing something -
since when is using a 0 subnet (especially on a non-routed net)
illegal???
regards
rich
PS -- I tried a 172 address also, with a 0 subnet (I forget which I
tried)
and it complained about that too...)
