Using rdist with ssh

Hello managers,

We implement rdist to synchronize some key system configuration files across
machines. While speaking with a colleague, I was informed that rdist can be
"trained" to use ssh rather than rsh. It'll be a slightly more secure
method, and I'd like to have a go at it. Reading the man pages did not
provide me with much. I discovered that renaming /bin/rsh and then soft link
ssh to /bin/rsh does not work, because rdist uses the rcmd libc call to
perform its rsh. The next logical step seems to be obtaining the source code
for rdist and have a whack at it. According to the ssh FAQ, rdist version
6.1 and up can be modified to work with ssh correctly. However, I'm having
some trouble locating the source code on the Net. Any pointers will be
appreciated. Will summarize.
