Firmware upgrade (to 5.7) using floppies from SRM

Dear all,

I'm trying to upgrade the firmware on a DS20 to the latest 5.7. The
'info' command on the SRM console tells me

  AlphaServer DS20 Console T5.4-3
  Qlogic ISP1020 Firmware version 5.57

When I follow the instructions on the Compaq WWW page
http://ftp.digital.com/pub/DEC/Alpha/firmware/readmes/ds20.html to
update using two floppies the LFU utility start fine - but it stops
(?) when doing the

  Copying pc264fw.txt from dva0. . .

The LED on the floppy is on but nothing happens for over 1 h. This
file is tiny (< 1k) so I can't think of a reason for it to take so
long.

I created the two floppies based on ds20srm.zip and ds20opt.zip under
Linux and Windows NT (in case the unzipping goes wrong) to no avail.

The reason for upgrading the firmware is, that a new Powerstorm 350
card doesn't seem to send a VGA signal when installed. The sheet
coming with it states that the minimum system firmware revision
required is V5.5-82.

Any idea? Should I try a BOOTP upgrade? Or are there any SRM variables
I have to set/unset?

Thanks for your patience.

Clemens
