[compaq unix] proplistd kills itself

Hi Managers,

After starting the property list deamon it vanishs from the process
list after a few hours. I restarted it from the checklist->nfssetup->
proplist_daemon. But then it stops again and the proxess proplistd is
removed. Does anybody has/had the same strage behavoir?
