Thanks to all who responded.
The concensus seems to be that a kernel re-build is NOT required in this
case (even with the new firmware on the controller) as the kernel has
the driver built-in and it will do it's detection upon boot.
Original post:
We just replaced a faulty KZPAC-CB with a new one. The old controller
had firmware version 2.47 and the new one has version 2.7. Is it
recommended to rebuild the kernel after such a change in hardware (and
firmware) has taken place? We don't do this type of thing very often.
