Hello !
I was alarmed by Arturo Espinosa's yesterday summary about real sharing of
RAID and SCSI storage arrays on several servers (apparently cannot be done
without TrueCluster installed, even on 5.0A) because we will order an
EMA 12000 FC RAID array (HSG80 controller) on Friday and plan to share them
between our 5 ES40 servers. The array will be connected to the hosts via
a 16 port FC-switch and FC-PCI adapters to the hosts. Additionally 3 Solaris 2.7
machines will also be connected via the same switch. Our vendors recommended
to use ACS 8.5 as the host-side controller software. We currently have NO
memory channel and thus no TrueCluster installed. Does the limitation also
apply to our configuration ? Thanks for any hints !
