Finally solved this problem. Thanks to all who responded. I had a bad
slot 1 (second slot) on the motherboard. While working on this problem,
I was also reminded of the early DS-20 problem with 2 CPUs - if you are
using a *-03 C04 CPU card, you will need to get that CPU card upgraded
to *-0[35] E04 before you use it in a dual CPU configuration. The C04
revision has a problem that it may not appear in the SRM console when
power is cycled rapidly.
Even though the error points to memory, it is not a memory issue. I
cannot imagine that very many other systems will have the same problem.
