I have the following configuration:
* 2 Alpha servers 8400 in cluster, with host adapter KZPSA (20 m/s)
* 2 storage array ESA10000 HSZ70 (40 m/s)
* using mirror via LSM between two diferent ESA10000
Most part of the time, my I/O request time is in 40.0 ms, what I consider a
big time.
How can I improve my I/O performance?
1) Change my host adapter for one with 40 m/s ?
2) take away the LSM mirror ?
Other administrador told me that most of the I/O time is spent in disk seek
and LSM mirror. In that case, change the host adapter won't improve the
performance.
Is there any white paper that describe more about DEC I/O performance issue
when using ESA10000 and LSM mirror?
Thanks,
