Tru64 5 running on PWS 433a SRM 7.2

1. I get a gui logon screen and am able to sign on, but I don't know if
there is a way to change the video resolution. It appears to be stuck in
640x480 16 colors. The video card is an S3 Virge PCI card (Diamond
Multimedia). I tried adding -screen0 800 to the line in
/usr/dt/config/Xservers.con but that didn't change anything. I have read
that this might be due to the kernel having been configured for generic VGA
and not for the proper video driver. I was told that S3 Virge is the same
is the #9 card that DEC was supplying as a Powerstorm 3xxx card.

2 I have configured this system as a dns client, pointing to my Windows
2000 server as a dns server. But it still won't resolve names. When I try
to use nslookup www.novell.com I get *** Can't find server name for address
10.10.11.1: Non-existent host/domain

3. I can get an Xterm session, but what command is used to then start a GUI
session? For example, in Linux I would enter either gnome-session or kde to
start a graphical session after getting a character Xterm session started.
How would I start a graphical session after getting the character mode xterm
session.
